Behind the Arichoke Lamp: Designer Poul Hennsington
Poul Henningsen was a preeminent Danish designer in the mid-20th century, known for paving the way for the structural arts in Denmark between the two world wars, but has picked up fame around the world for his stunning designs in the lighting subsector of architecture. His first lamp, called the PH was brought to fruition in 1925 and set the stage for his latter PH line of lamps. HenningsenÂs lamps are one-of-a-kind pieces of lighting innovation. His work is displayed in the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. He was also an author that took part in the anti-fascism movement, with anti-fascist propaganda.
